During COVID, the entire world has been upended and nothing seems certain.
So many things we took for granted have changed and are out of our control. Schools, churches, restaurants and public gathering places are closed. We have been forced to work from home (if we’re still fortunate enough to have work) or we are working in environments in which do not feel safe. We can’t get together with our family or friends, to talk in person or get a much needed hug. We’re worrying about whether we, or someone we care about, will get sick. We wonder if things will ever get back to normal or what the “new normal” will be.
Your personal problems haven’t gone away.
Meanwhile our private lives go on, with the same struggles we were already living with. Our personal cares and concerns, relationship issues, struggles with anxiety, depression or substance use haven’t gone away just because a pandemic is happening.
You don’t need to do this alone.
Now more than ever we need to stay balanced and resilient to deal with these challenges. Particularly in times like these, it’s normal to need help. If you’re struggling, online therapy may provide the extra support you need.
Online Therapy Can Help
Research shows that online therapy is generally as effective as in-person therapy. It’s a private, safe place to share your concerns, problem solve and get the help and support you need.
I offer online therapy via an easy to use, HIPAA secure video platform so we can see each other face to face. You don’t need to open an account to access the platform. Just click the secure link I email you and you’re in.
While I do not participate in managed care and most of my clients do not use insurance, during COVID your insurance company might be providing telehealth benefits that cover my services. We can discuss this in our initial phone call or email.
